Unfortunately Rachel and Kevin couldn't make it to the wiki workshop today, but Phil (bless him) he made it - we talked about many things apart from wikis.. such as the use of the picture sharing service flickr and the video sharing service youtube in class settings.

If you intended to come, or are intending to get along to a wikis workshop, perhaps spend 20 minutes with these 3 videos:

A really interesting look at Wikipedia the free encyclopaedia
A look wikispaces, the free web based wiki service
A very quick look at PB wiki, a free web based wiki that offers login options

To book a place in any of the networked learning workshops just click the "calendar" link at the top of this website.

I've almost finished printing the info booklet and fliers for the workshops too, so keep an eye out for them in the next week.

Tomorrow's workshop is on web feeds. 12 - 1pm H523.

I'm still intrigued as to what your management think of your blogging adventures Leigh.

Are they receptive to the idea that you are using web2.0 tools and spaces to document your learners / learning journey. Your posts are very inspiring.

    Cheers,

Over all quite good. On one occassion I didn't make it clear enough just how public blogging potentially is and was talked to on that occasion.. but lately quite good. The notes are prooving quite useful when follow up meetings come about, and for interested parties outside, especially those with potentially something to offer particular projects getting mentioned. I think you might notice that I keep my opinions to a minimum in this blog...
